By opting in, you are providing your consent for the processing of your personal and sensitive information for the purpose of providing digital therapy. Confidentiality and it's LimitationsI am committed to providing a safe, confidential, and private space for you to discuss your concerns. I am bound by both legal and ethical obligations, and there are limitations to confidentiality that are designed to keep you and other people safe, and to ensure that you receive high-quality, safe, and effective care. For example, if you disclose information that suggests that you or someone else is at risk of harm, I may need to break confidentiality to ensure everyone's safety. Similarly, if there are any legal requirements such as a court order or to detect and prevent crime and fraud, I may need to disclose certain information. Rest assured that I keep all personal information confidential and only share it when necessary and appropriate.

Digital Therapy and its LimitationsDigital therapy is a form of treatment that is delivered through an online platform or mobile application. Digital therapy is convenient and accessible, allowing people to receive treatment from the comfort of their own homes. Digital therapy can be effective for a wide range of wellbeing and mental health concerns. However, there might be some reasons why digital therapy might not be suitable to address your needs. If this is the case, I may decline to offer digital therapy and discuss more suitable options to address your needs. Digital therapy is not suitable if you're experiencing a mental health crisis or mental health emergency. The priority in these circumstances is safety and you will have local services designed to support you through this, which will allow you to meet with someone face-to-face and in-person. It is important to note that while every effort has been taken to make sure your personal information is kept securely, no electronic transmission over the internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. If you have any concerns about accessing therapy using digital methods for therapy, please feel free to contact me.
-
General RequirementsYou must be aged 18 or over to access digital therapy. You must be joining the appointment as an individual. If it becomes appropriate to include other people in your care, we can discuss your options, as it may incur an additional fee. You must be a resident in the United Kingdom. If you spend significant time in the United Kingdom, but you travel or you don’t have permanent residence, please contact me and we can discuss your options.

Technical RequirementsDigital therapy is offered through a secure digital health care platform hosted by Cliniko. You can find out more about Cliniko by visiting their website. You won't need to create an account with Cliniko, but I will ask for a valid, private, and secure email address so you can receive email confirmations and joining instructions. You’ll need a mobile phone, tablet, or desktop equipped with an internet web-browser and a camera and microphone in good working order. You can find out more about the technical requirements from Cliniko's help section. You’ll need to provide the necessary permissions for your device or web-browser to access your camera and microphone. You’ll need an internet connection with sufficient speed and bandwidth to join your digital therapy session without interruption or delay. The most optimum internet speeds are anything above 4mbps download and 4mbps upload. If any technical difficulties occur because of your equipment, you’ll be liable to pay the full price of your appointment. If any technical difficulties occur because of issues with Cliniko or this website, you will be entitled to a full refund.
-
Digital Therapy RequirementsYou'll need to call from a safe, secure, and private environment so you can make the most out of your session. A private environment helps you to talk about things that you may not want to share with other people, and it can help you feel safer to explore any difficulties you may be experiencing. If for any reasons I'm concerned about the environment you're calling from, I may end the session early and you may still be liable for the full price of the appointment.
-
Duration of Digital Therapy AppointmentsAll digital therapy appointments are 50 minutes. If you decide to end the session early, for any reason, you'll be charged for the full sessions duration unless otherwise agreed upon prior to, or within, the session. If the session is ended early, for reason, by me, you'll be charged for partial completion of the session (dependent on how long it's lasted) or the remaining time can be reallocated to you next session.
-
Number and Frequency of SessionsWe can discuss how many sessions you may need and how often those sessions should take place in your first appointment. Your digital therapy experience will be reviewed on a regular basis to make sure you're getting the most out of it.
-
First Sessions, Single Sessions, and PackagesFor all new clients, we will book either a discovery call or first appointment where we will be able to discuss a treatment plan and review your options before continuing with digital therapy. After your discovery call or first appointment, you have the option to book a single appointment at a time or to book an appointment package of 5 or 10 sessions depending on what is most suited to your therapeutic and financial needs. If you book a package of 5 or 10 appointments, you will have as long as you need to use them and there is no expiration so long as their use remains therapeutic. Once you purchase a package, the amount paid will be non-refundable. If you are funding your appointments using your private medical insurance, due to their billing structure, all sessions are funded for 50-minutes and your will not be able to book a package.
-
Booking an AppointmentIf you’d like to book an appointment, please contact me and we can arrange a suitable time and day. There may be times when I’m unable to accept new clients or there is a waiting list, and if this is the case, I will contact you to let you know what your options are.
-
24-Hour Notice of CancellationIf for any reason you're not able to attend your appointment and you need to cancel it, please provide at least 24-hour notice otherwise you'll be liable to pay the full price of the appointment. You can cancel your appointment by using the link provided in your confirmation or reminder email. If you are having issues using the cancellation link, you can contact me. I understand emergency situations can happen, so we can discuss waiving the 24-hour notice should your missed appointment or cancellation be because of an unavoidable emergency.
-
Contact Outside of AppointmentsYou can contact me at any time using the contact form on this website. Please know that my response time can be up to 7 days (or longer if I am on leave). Any contact between appointments will not be digital therapy.
-
Safety PlanningProviding a safe, secure, and effective digital therapy experience is crucial. Therefore, safety planning is an important, and necessary, step when accessing digital therapy. When you book your first appointment, you’ll be asked to provide personal and sensitive information including your name, date of birth, email address, telephone number, and the address or addresses where you're calling from. You'll also be asked to provide additional information including the name and phone number of a nominated contact, your GP practice name, address, and telephone number. If any risk to you or other people become apparent during your digital therapy experience, we will discuss this (where possible), and we may further develop your safety plan. If a safety plan is insufficient in minimising or containing risk, we will need to discuss more suitable options.
-
Mental Health Crisis or EmergencyIf you are experiencing a mental health crisis or mental health emergency, digital therapy is not going to be helpful until you are in a safe place psychologically and physically. Please don't wait for me to respond if you are experiencing a mental health crisis or emergency, as you may need immediate help from services who will be able respond in the moment.
-
Invoices, Credit, and PaymentYou'll receive an email invoice for your appointment(s), which will include information on how and when to pay. Invoices may be sent to your home address if you've not responded to the initial emailed invoice. If you are paying in advance of your session, such as buying a package, the funds will be credited to your account and automatically transferred to any open invoice. Currently, payments are only accepted through bank transfer. If you are struggling with the payment or you would like to discuss alternative payment methods, please contact me.
-
Onward ReferralsIn circumstances where an onward referral is required and the referral process is complex, I may charge an additional £40.00 referral fee. If the referral needs to be posted through secure Royal Mail, I may charge the cost of postage. Both these additional costs would be discussed with you before any additional cost incurred.
-
Ending Your Digital TherapyYou can end your digital therapy at any time and for any reason. However, if I have concerns, I may ask to explore this in more depth with you to make sure you have alternative options available. Ending therapy is a natural part of the therapeutic process, and we all have different ways in which we would like to say goodbye. Regardless of whether your ending is planned or unplanned, I will keep you on an active caseload for three months from your last appointment. If I’ve not heard from you after the three months, your case will be closed for administrative purposes, but you will always be able to contact me at any point in the future should you like to book more appointments.
